Caretano Z was
proving to be a superstar in the making
before his early death. Under the ownership
of Zangersheide Stud with Jos Lansink, he
won the WBFSH champion for 7 year olds in
1999 and was top of the league for Sires of
the World 2001. He went on to compete in
Grand Prix’s and Nation Cups.

Caretano is in turn
by Caretino, a winner of the 1989 Holstein
Showjumping Championships. He competed
internationally in Nation Cups and Grand
Prix's under Bo Kristofferson and Ludger
Beerbaum before injury forced an early
retirement. He is owned by the Holstein
Verband. Caretino is also the sire of
Caridor Z [4th European Championships 2001],
Chandra and Camirez B
Sonja van het Roelof is the full sister to
Unbelievable Darco’s dam, hence is also a
daughter to the top Hannovarian sire-
Grandeur who is by the super successful
Grannus.
Needing no introduction, Grannus is the sire
of John Whitaker's top ride Grannusch and
Jan Tops' Olympic ride Top Gun.
Quina's dam line goes back to Lugano van la
Roche crossed with thoroughbred.
Grannus was ranked as the number one Jumper
sire in the WBFSH rankings 1996/97.
