Hamilton's sire is Siprano who is a grand
son of Mourne xx. Mourne xx is the grand
sire of Nelson Pessoa's former ride Alcatraz
and the well-known Laudanum who jumped at
International level, accumulating winnings
in excess of Ff100,000 between 1972/1977. He
has approx 40 approved sons.
Another grandson of Mourne xx is Noren, a
world cup finalist in 1981, winning more
than US$1/2 million prize money in
1982/1983. He received the 1982 "Horse of
the Year Award". Noren is the sire of
Alligator Fontaine, who under Frenchman
Michel Robert won the Best Stallion
Performance as an 8 year old.
Siprano's dam is by Ibrahim, a sire name
that needs no introduction to Showjumping
fans, his best known progeny include Alme Z,
Jalisco B, Double Espoir and Elf III among
many.
Siprano's grand dam is a daughter of
Ultimate, who in turn is the dam sire to
Alme Z, hence being double related.
